Bowden began working for the school in 2019 and has taught and coached for over eight years. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to impact students and the community on a larger scale as he takes on his new role. Coach Bowden is ready to lead the Blazer football program as it makes a transition to 6-Man football. He brings a track record of success in TAPPS 6-Man with great enthusiasm and knowledge that will surely make a positive impact for the upcoming season, and years to come. Coach Bowden is a current member of the Texas High School Coaches Association, and the Texas High School 6-Man Coaches Association. Coach Bowden will also teach P.E. and Social Studies at THS. “I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of Athletic Director at The Highlands School,” says Denver Bowden, “I look forward to continuing the great tradition of success here at THS based on the mission which is to develop our students into Christian leaders who can make a meaningful difference in the world around them.”
The Highlands School shares Bowden's enthusiasm. Denver Bowden will be an outstanding leader for our Athletic Department. He has well-rounded knowledge and experience with multiple sports and youth organizations. Bowden also garners high praise from school Director of Finance and Human Resources, Steve Wright, who notes that Bowden "brings a wealth of knowledge through his own varied coaching experiences and will be a tremendous asset to our coaches, athletes, parents, and community."
